Painted Regency-era Chest Of Drawers With Faux Marble Top
Painted Regency-period chest of drawers. Early 18th century. The front is curved; the sides are flat. The bottom rail is scalloped. It features three drawers. The three locks are original and functional, fitted with an antique key. Beautiful set of drop handles and keyholes featuring mascarons in varnished bronze. The chest has been refinished in off-white with light blue painted decorations featuring ironwork motifs, lambrequins, volutes, acanthus leaves, pompons, vases, and phoenixes. The top is painted to resemble marble.
