Napoléon III - Tea Cups, Ball Service - Sèvres Porcelain
Prestigious Sèvres porcelain service made during the reign of Napoleon III, commonly known as service des bals.
This service was used for official receptions and balls given in the presence of guests at the Château de Compiègne as well as at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud.
Each piece features on the reverse:
a green mark, indicating the year of manufacture at the Manufacture de Sèvres,
a red mark, corresponding either to the year of inventory or the year of delivery to the imperial services.
