Small Ball Vase Tharaud Limoges Porcelain Circa 1920-1940
Very nice small ball vase, Limoges porcelain by Camille Tharaud, early circa 1920-1940, probably 1930s, modernist art nouveau style. Stamped below the base Tharaud, France, Limoges, as well as 2 incised inscriptions, mold mark, decorator's mark. Shaded white/beige glazed porcelain, decorated with stylized fiddlehead fern leaves, from the base upwards, in shades of brown, hazelnut, pale brown and dark peacock/turquoise green. Small, short, upturned neck with peacock green/dark turquoise edging as well.
14.5-15cm high, approx. 14.5-15cm max diameter as well. Very nice overall condition, no chips, no cracks. It does, however, have a few scratches and small abrasions, very discreet. Approx. 500-600gr.
