Lot Of 5 Glazed Ceramic Mazagrans, 1960-1980s
Set of five very fine glazed terracotta mazagrans, vintage French craftsmanship 1960s-1980s, all signed below the base with an MV type monogram. Beautiful workshop production with very fine, regular turning, each piece showing slight variations in shape testifying to their craftsmanship. High-temperature firing, flowing enamel in superb shades of blue, green and brown, with material effects and bubbles. One of the mazagrans has a slightly redder ground and a more pronounced signature, probably from a separate firing or series but consistent with the whole.
Height 11.5 to 12cm, diameter at lip 7.5 to 8cm. Very nice overall condition, we point out a small chip under the foot ring of one of the pieces, not visible/very discreet in presentation, the enamel bubbles are cleanly pierced original. Approx. 200-250gr each.
