Very rare, magnificent hand-carved rosewood table panel or par à vent, China or Indo-China, circa 1850-1900, 19th century. Base decorated with a tree trunk on a rock base, branches and leaves. To the right, a lucky crane stands on the base. The trunk is topped by a large disk decorated with a sun framed by clouds, or other symbolism. A very rare and beautiful antique object, with rich, sober details. Unsigned.

53cm total height, 25-26cm max width, approx. 7cm thick. Very fine condition, rare wear such as wood cracking, one a little visible from the top to the middle of the disc, a few discreet rub marks. A possibly broken branch at the rear, very discreet old accident, almost invisible from the front. Collector's and antique piece. Approx. 1100kg.
