Magnificent, very rare, large vintage/antique 1930-1950s lamp in the Jean-Besnard taste, signed from the Keramos workshop by René Hénon or another ceramist from the Keramos workshop (Dakon, Josef Lorenzl, Michael Powolny, Rudolf Podany, Dora Langer, Hertha Bucher ,Wiener Werkstätte...), Sèvres, France. Crackled Raku ceramics, Modern, Japanese style, very elegant. In the form of a large flared corolla vase with a small round base. Beige color, gray craquelages, horizontal dark-brown grooves on the top band, color on the base of the foot as well. Rare or unique, handcrafted model.
26.8cm total height, 26cm max diameter, 13-14cm diameter for the foot approx. Very nice overall condition, a chip on the rim, possibly enamel defect, and a small stain under the rim, discrete, some discrete manufacturing defects as well, notably beige enamel stains on the dark banding. Possibly re-electrified more recently, functional, European plug, gold-plated plastic socket, bulb with large screw, wire length 1m90-2m. Sold without bulb. 2,450gr approx.
