Art Deco Limoges Porcelain Gravy Boat By Bernardaud B&co, Unique, 1930-1940
A rare and elegant Limoges fine porcelain gravy boat and its integrated tray, stamped B&Co, Bernardaud & Cie on the reverse, along with the mark "Limoges France - Unique," a designation corresponding to a commercial line of the manufacturer and not the name of the pattern. Produced during the Art Deco period, around 1930-1940. The gravy boat has a beautiful angular, faceted shape with two opposing spouts, resting on a rounded octagonal base. The decoration features stylized geometric motifs in shades of pink and blue, a decorative aesthetic of the interwar period, enhanced with a gilt rim and motifs. It could also be used as a charming hyacinth pot. The base measures 22cm in length and 16cm in width. The gravy boat alone measures 17.5cm long and 12cm wide. Its maximum height is approximately 7.5cm. In very good overall condition, with the gilding and decoration well preserved. No chips or cracks to report. Approximately 600g.
