Oxblood Glazed Stoneware Vase With Twisted Ribs, 20th Century Workshop Work
Very fine small oxblood glazed stoneware vase in shades of gray/celadon, workshop work of unknown origin, Asian-inspired, mid-twentieth century vintage, circa 1950-1970. Beautiful, slender ovoid shape ending in a short, flat-lipped neck, while the upper part of the body is animated by a decoration of slightly twisted vertical ribs. Very fine craftsmanship, with a particularly fine, well-mastered paste, approximately 3 to 4mm thick. Stamped under the base with "M" or stylized "W", to be identified. Studio pottery, in the taste of La Borne.
