Beautiful large covered vase, ginger jar, or urn, in celadon-glazed oxblood ceramic or porcelain in the style of Meiping porcelain, recent production, 1990s-2000s or earlier, unsigned. Lovely traditional shape, with its attractive lid. 35cm maximum height with lid, 25.5cm without, approximately 19cm maximum diameter. Good condition, some discreet crazing on the body, one of which appears to penetrate the entire piece, but is slight. A few minor flaws consistent with age and manufacture, including some uneven grain and a few fairly discreet surface scratches. The interior is unglazed; I don't think it is watertight, so avoid liquids. Approximately 1.2 kg.
