Hussar Saber 1777 Revolutionary Manufacture
Revolutionary type 1777 hussar troop saber, used under the First Empire.
Brass hilt with a guard branch ( stamped with a rooster, 1793-1799 and stamped with the maker "Dumont", long cap, basane-covered wooden spindle. Blade with original polish and wartime sharpening. Flat back with no markings.
Blade length: 84.5 cm
Leather-covered wooden scabbard (stitching on lower part) with brass fittings, iron stinger.
Traces of use on scabbard, but very good overall condition. to be cleaned (traces of varnish)
