The sculpture is cast in lost-wax bronze, with very thin walls, which called for great skill in the casting process. It's a representation of Shoulao, a Chinese Taoist deity, riding his deer. However, it may be a Japanese version of this deity, which became Jurojin in Japan. Very damaged, but all the elements are present, except for the stag's antlers.
