Monaco Porcelain Tête-à-tête Service – Atlantis Pattern – Oriental Blue, Green And Gold Decor

Artist: Erich Rozewicz. Monaco
Monaco Porcelain Tête-à-Tête Service – Atlantis Pattern – Oriental Blue, Green, and 24-Carat Gold Decor. This royal porcelain tête-à-tête service from Monaco, in the Atlantis pattern, comprises a tray, a teapot, a sugar bowl, a milk jug, and two cups with saucers. The decor, richly inspired by the Orient and the Arabian Nights, evokes the enchanting world of oriental palaces and magical lamps. The stylized motifs, enhanced with 24-carat gold, create shapes reminiscent of fish scales in blue and green, bringing depth, movement, and refinement to the set. This service comes from the Monaco Porcelain Manufactory, founded by Erich Rozewicz. Initially a design office that became a public limited company in 1975, the manufactory first focused on souvenirs before developing high-end creations for home decor and tableware. The collections in kiln-fired blue enhanced with 24-karat gold enjoyed international success in the 1970s and 1980s, particularly in Japan. The designs were inspired by the mosaics of the Prince's Palace, creatively reinterpreted to produce unique and elegant motifs. In 1986, Erich Rozewicz received the International Promotion Award in the Art – Porcelain – Ceramics category. This is a beautiful decorative and collectible set, representative of the excellence of Monegasque production at the end of the 20th century.
