The Royal Dux manufactory, founded in 1853 in Duchcov (Dux), Bohemia, experienced significant growth under the leadership of Eduard Eichler. From the late 19th century onward, the company distinguished itself through high-quality decorative pieces, often characterized by double patinas and an expressive treatment of subjects. Royal Dux was particularly renowned for its feminine, Orientalist, animal, and naturalistic themes, with a strong decorative flair. Some Art Nouveau creations were produced under the artistic direction of Alois Hampel, contributing to the international renown of the factory. Royal Dux mark on the base. Very good condition.
