Superb Caucasian rug originating from Armenia. Woven and knotted wool on wool using traditional methods. Beautiful pile, incredibly comfortable; the wool is very soft, almost silky. This silky quality gives the natural hues a beautiful depth and luminosity. Some colors, particularly the blue and red, are saturated. The overall effect is dazzling. Circa 1920. Excellent condition.
