Large Louis XVI style footed bowl in light onyx and gilt bronze. A very beautiful piece inspired by neoclassical designs, executed in an antique style. Of generous dimensions (34 cm in total width), this highly decorative bowl features a circular onyx basin adorned with gilt bronze side handles; these handles are in the form of lion heads holding rings in their mouths. The foot rests on a square base and is also decorated with two rows of pearls, also crafted in gilt bronze. The piece, which dates from the second half of the 19th century, is in excellent condition.
