Pair Of Large Gilded Wooden Candlesticks, Italy, Late 18th Century.
A lovely pair of large Italian candlesticks made of gilded wood, dating from the last third of the 18th century.
A classic and highly decorative design featuring a baluster-shaped shaft resting on a tripod base with small ball feet and a wide neck, to which the original patinated sheet metal cup and wick holder are attached.
The decoration is incised into the thickness of the ground layer before gilding.
Entirely in their original condition with some missing gilding, but the set remains in very good used condition and the patina is superb.
Note: Shipping to France is available via Colissimo with tracking and insured delivery requiring a signature: 40 euros. Shipping to other destinations available upon request.
