Pair Of Covered Louis XVI Casseroles, 1830.

Description:
Chiseled and gilded bronze, green breccia.

This pair of cassolettes consists of a gadrooned body carried in Athenian style by two trapezophorums decorated with a faun mask, the other two are sober bases ending in acanthus leaves.
A large garland of laurels encircles the whole. A high lid very decorated with friezes of foliage, a frieze of plant post gives this cassolette a more architectural design than usual. A large base in green breccia bearing a pearl perfectly balances this pair of art objects.
Condition:
Very good condition, redone leaf decoration (24 k gold)
