Persia (modern-day Iran) was the cradle of Arab-Persian civilization from 552 BC until 1979.
Throughout the centuries, this empire radiated its history, its geopolitical culture, and its craftsmanship, particularly in copper, brass, and so-called "Islamic" metals. This vase is a testament to this cultural and artisanal wealth, dating from the late 19th century, the Qajar period.
The baluster-shaped vase is adorned with hammered repoussé motifs of birds, local fauna, and flora, creating a veritable narrative along its body.
Purely decorative, this vase was intended for luxurious interiors, to hold flowers and incense. Please note, this vase has no bottom.
Fast and careful shipping to France, Europe, and worldwide.
