"Tâs", a beautiful old basin in tinned copper, originating from Syria? XIXth century.
This basin with a domed base, convex wall and arched opening has an engraved decoration showing traces of black paste inlays in the decoration
. The outer wall is surrounded by a wide band of five calligraphic cartouches alternated with five epigraphic cartouches.
Below, two fine bands of foliage encircle the base.
This basin is placed on three feet.
The overall patina is superb and the set is in very good condition.
