A true work of glass art, this vase from the Art Deco period (1910-1939) where the robustness of sophisticated geometry blended with the crazy beauty of nature.
This shape of baluster, solid, proud, is crossed by intertwined patterns, as if a dreamlike polychromate fog came to life. The craftsman breathed life into this vase, and the enamelling pattern is similar to work done by luxurious glass factories such as Mills & Stevens in Great Britain or Loetz in Austria at the beginning of the 20th century, the latter being known for its electrolytically enamelled glass.
Although it is not signed, the beauty of this vase is unnameable. These mauve enamelled patterns melt and freeze, both tortoiseshell scales, both swirled.. It is a rare, even unique piece of Art Deco glassware craftsmanship, perfect for a glass collector.
