Son of Félix Optat Milet (1838-1911) ceramist and great friend of the ceramist Clément Massier, he transmits to his son the taste to create and experiment ceramics and its enamels. Following the creation of his own factory by his father, Paul Milet became a chemist and at only 20 years old, he took over from his father in the family business, until success: he will exhibit in 1900 at the Universal Exhibition in Paris, and present ceramic works before-gardists with varied colors!
Today very sought-after, the works of Paul Milet stand between utilitarian and artistic ceramic objects, earthenware and stoneware. This charming Art Deco bonbonnière is the legacy of this great ceramist of the 20th century. Signed and in excellent condition, only a tiny chipboard is to be noted on the edge of the lid.
