"Bronze Tgv On A Wooden Base, A Scale Model Of The Tgv Sud-est From The 1980s"
TGV in bronze on a wooden base, reduced model of the South-East TGV of the 80s

A bronze sculpture, rare as intriguing!

Rare things, here is a bronze model of a TGV Sud-Est train, an iconic model of the SNCF, part of the first generations of TGVs put into circulation in the 80s.

The use of solid & patinated bronze in the creation of this miniaturized sculpture is interesting: Bronze is a noble material composed of Zinc and Copper, materials useful for the creation of railways and railway lines. This hard and durable material is condensed to create a charming visual & contrast between artisanal tradition and technological modernity in the 20th century.

The TGV is one of the major engineering inventions of the company, it allowed to speed up travel time. For example, for a trip from Paris to Marseille, the travel time has gone by more than 8 hours for a classic train, with the TGV it only takes 3 hours and 40 minutes.

Printed in limited editions for the commemoration of the inauguration of the TGV Sud-Est line in 1981 at the request of SNCF & Alstom, this model belonged to a former engineer of the TGV commissioning project as a thank you for his work. This one was on his work desk.

Lovers of miniature TGV trains and bronze sculptures on the technological advances of the 20th century, don’t hesitate! Adopt this TGV South-East in Bronze today!
