"Limoges Enamel Brooch, Signed Eg, Vintage Circa 1940-1950"
Charming Limoges enamel brooch, signed EG on the reverse, dating from around 1940-1950. The mount is made of brass or gilt copper, with a highly detailed relief decoration combining green, red, and white enamels on a gold background, highlighted in the center by a translucent red cabochon with a glass-like appearance. The modeling of the enamels and the interplay of colors give the piece a deliberately precious and decorative style, representative of Limoges production from the mid-20th century. Approximately 3 cm in diameter and 1.5 cm thick. In very good overall condition, with some play in the clasp and minor surface oxidation of the metal, both of which are barely noticeable when worn. Approximately 10 grams.
