Antique Diamond Bouquet Brooch

Old brooch representing a bouquet of flowers and its turbulent leaves set with old-cut diamonds. In the center 2 older cushion-cut diamonds of a larger size are set with descending claws. The attachment system is a pin with safety pump.

Period: 19th century
Main material: silver and yellow gold, 750 thousandths, 18 carats.
Total weight of the 2 main diamonds: approximately 1 carat.
Total weight of the other diamonds: approximately 2.90 carats.
Proportions: Length: approximately 5.5 cm, height: approximately 4 cm, thickness: approximately 15 mm.
Net weight: about 22g.
Antique jewel - Work from the second half of the 19th century.
Our opinion: the attachment system was added later on this diamond pattern which was part of a much larger adornment, a small thread still present at the back testifies to this.
