Early Coalport Pair Of Botanical Serving Dishes, Union Pattern, C.1825

An early 19th-century pair of Coalport porcelain serving dishes produced during the John Rose period and decorated in the Union pattern, a sophisticated botanical scheme associated with the factory’s finest Regency output. The dishes feature an elaborate dessert form with a sculptural profile and pierced rococo crest, intended for high-quality dessert and serving services. They are decorated with a rich cobalt blue ground, finely burnished gilding in scrolling vine and foliate motifs, and hand-painted botanical sprays at the centre. The overall quality and decorative treatment support a dating to circa 1825.

A refined and increasingly scarce example of early Coalport porcelain, appealing to collectors of Regency dessert wares and early English botanical porcelain.
