A Rare 18th Century Worcester Tea Cup With Hand-painted Exotic Birds - C.1760

This exquisite 18th-century polychrome tea cup from Worcester features a cobalt blue and gold pattern, adorned with exotic birds and beetles. This rare and beautiful piece dates back to the Dr. Wall period, showcasing hand-painted designs in a striking dark blue color scheme.
At the bottom of the cup, a fretted square is painted in underglaze blue, a mark used from 1755 to 1770. This very beautiful 1st period Worcester cup will enhance and enrich any collection.

Condition: The cup is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration. The colors remain vibrant and in superb condition, although the enamel on the lower rim is worn in several places. The gilding around the rim shows minor scuffs, yet this does not detract from the overall beauty of the piece.
