Rare late 19th century Russian Imperial Kuznetsov porcelain butter dish in the shape of a pigeon with hand-painted decoration in purple, pink, and blue tones. Imperial Kuznetsov mark under the base. Manufactory founded in 1810, purveyor to the Imperial court from 1902. Condition: Very good overall condition for the period, with however a small old chip restored on the inside rim of the lid (see detail photo). No other notable defects. Dimensions: 12.7 cm height, 20.5 cm length, 10 cm width. Weight: 442g. Collectible piece, museum quality.
