The slender silhouette rests on a circular, domed base, broadly flared and gadrooned, surmounted by a baluster stem with rhythmic bulges—a formal vocabulary directly inherited from the blown glass candlesticks and tableware produced in Murano and subsequently imitated in the major European glassmaking centers (France, the Netherlands, Bohemia). This type of composition, alternating solid and delicate lines, is characteristic of the 17th-century Baroque aesthetic, which sought verticality, elegance, and plays of light.
