The work is signed by the painter Édouard Febvre (1885-1967), to whom the Bénézit dictionary devotes a significant chapter. He is a painter well-known to collectors, belonging to the same generation of artists as Maurice Utrillo (1883-1955) and Élisée Maclet (1881-1962).
