Empire Period Lion Mantel Clock

A mantel clock in elm burl with mahogany moldings, surmounted by a finely chased gilt bronze lion resting its head on a tortoise.
The enamel dial is protected by a convex glass encircled by a row of fine pearls and gilt bronze heart-shaped motifs.
The front is adorned with laurel wreaths, ribbons, and a garland of fruit.
The clock rests on four gilt bronze disc feet. All the bronze elements retain a very vibrant gilt.

An Empire period clock signed Geoffroy of Fontainebleau.
Original wire-driven movement, serviced by our watchmaker.
