Pendulum depicting a young man dressed in antique style driving a chariot harnessed to a royal poodle.The chariot is richly chased with foliage and a cherub with outstretched wings on the top. The wheel formed by its enamelled dial signed "Dumoulin à Bruxelles" indicates the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals (slight chips). Octagonal base decorated with a mask of Apollo, stylized foliage and laurel wreaths. It stands on four topped feet. Original double patina mercury gilding in very good condition (some wear). Original wire movement striking the hours and half-hours, functioning with its key.
