French Empire Mantel Clock, 1810, Amor Type. Dimensions: Height: 40 cm, Width: 28 cm, Depth: 14 cm. 8-day movement with cord suspension and a very distinctive (original) pendulum image. Strikes the hours and half-hours with a small silver bell. A magnificent mantel clock in very good condition, with its original gilding. The pendulum's eyes are enameled. An image of this clock is reproduced in the book "La pendule française" by Elke Niehuser.
