Rosewood, amaranth and satinwood "cube" marquetry "Sauteuse" chest of drawers Transition Louis XV/Louis XVI period, 18th C. The chest opens with two drawers without rails inlaid with geometric motifs highlighted with green wood fillets on an amaranth background. Cutaway front jambs inlaid with rosewood counter-threading on an amaranth background, ending in cambered legs. Sides inlaid with the same pattern as the front. Elegant ornamentation of original gilded bronzes, pull handles with emperor's profile. Original lock with key. St Anne d'Epoque grey marble top in good condition (old restorations).
