Rectangular overmantel mirror in carved and gilded wood, Louis XVI/18th century. The frame is formed by finely carved moldings decorated with friezes of channels adorned with water lilies and a beaded frieze. The upper section is decorated with an oil painting on canvas depicting two women and a child releasing a bird by a river. Original mercury mirror. Gold leaf gilding in very good condition (minor old repairs). Period parquet backing. Louis XVI/18th century work.
