Pair Of Gilded Louis XVI-style Trumeaux
Pair of gilded Louis XVI-style trumeaux with unusual decorations.
Late 19th-century Louis XVI style.
There is a signature on the upper panel: "A.HUBEAU"?
This piece is particularly interesting due to the very elongated figures, the flowing drapery, and the stylized trees, which lend it a much more Symbolist, almost Art Nouveau feel than a simple neoclassical design.
We can make out women or nymphs dancing in a wood, as well as a figure on the right who appears to be following an animal or another figure.
These panels are very interesting due to their originality and this intriguing scene.
There are a few signs of wear to note, limited to the gilding, but the panels are in very good overall condition.
The depicted scene is in perfect condition.
Dimensions: Height: 150 cm, Width: 80 cm.
