Louis XVI Style Trumeau, Lacquered And Gilded Wood, Country Scene, Village Fete, 19th Century
Louis XVI style trumeau, early 19th century, almond green lacquered, lightly grayed, and enhanced with gold. The mirror is original, shows signs of wear and tear and has a crack in the lower right-hand corner (see photos). We have not changed the mirror to preserve its authenticity.
The mirror is surmounted by an old chromolithography marouflaged on panel, depicting a village festival scene. Two medallions depicting the portraits of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette frame the mirror.
Very decorative, this mirror is being sold in its original condition, and we have preserved its minor flaws, which make it so charming.
