Pair Of Louis XV Period Armchairs, Petit Point Tapestry, Cabriolet Style, Mid-18th Century
A set of two Louis XV period carved natural wood armchairs, circa 1750. This is actually a false pair, as our armchairs have a slight difference in ornamentation in the floral carvings on the top of the backrest and on the front rail. One of the two has a small additional decorative element: foliage surrounding the flowers (see photos). Made of beautifully patinated natural wood, our armchairs offer very comfortable seats. One of the two has recently been re-webbed, and the upholstery is in good condition. They are both covered in petit point tapestry with a floral design in shades of blue. The set is in very good condition; only the jacona fabric on the back of the armchairs shows some wear and minor damage (see photo 8).
