Rhône Valley, Lyonnaise Chest Of Drawers, Regency Period, Lyon, Early 18th Century

Superb Lyonnaise chest of drawers from the Regency period in carved walnut, first quarter of the 18th century. Opening with four drawers (two small drawers and two cross-drawers), our chest of drawers has slightly curved work on the front. Its originality lies in particular in the very atypical carving work on its base, the rear feet being also carved. The front uprights have a delicate carving of knotted ribbons under the top of the piece of furniture. The sides are decorated with a discreet and elegant double diamond pattern. The proportions are very harmonious, the patina is luminous. Overall in very good condition. We obviously note some wear and traces of use (top with some old marks, see photos) and some rare and discreet small lacks (in particular at the bottom of the carving of the front crosspiece).
