Bibus Anglaise , English Bookcase, Solid Mahogany, 19th Century
Important English solid mahogany bookcase, England, 19th century.
This is a very fine, shallow piece of furniture, with elegant lines enhanced by the shades of the finest mahogany. A few discreet ornamental carvings add further refinement to our bookcase, without detracting from the purity of its lines: the sides of the backsplash all end in Greek key motifs, and a design of flowering stems discreetly adorns the front jambs of our piece of furniture.
Very stable and solid, this bibus will have no difficulty supporting the weight of numerous books, or on the contrary, elegantly displaying knick-knacks and collectables.
