" Stained Glass Window, 3.14m High, Large Stained Glass French Door With Transom, Stained Glass Windows, Circa 1900"
Exceptional window with a transom, both in traditional stained glass, made around 1900. This is a large piece divided into two sections (door/window and transom: total height with transom 3.14m) sold with all its original frames and hardware. A magnificent example of craftsmanship, this window can easily be converted into a double door with a few minor modifications to the lower joinery. Another important feature: the transom can be independent and therefore installed as a decorative element in a completely different location than the French door, thus allowing for a multitude of solutions and interior design options. Original gilt bronze handle and cremone bolts, finely chased, in the Louis XVI style. This magnificent set is in good overall condition. Note two damaged panes in the transom (visible in photos: these are colorless panes and therefore easily replaceable) and two hairline cracks in the clear panes of the window that do not need replacing as they are not fragile. Dimensions: Transom: Width: 148.5cm / Height: 85cm / add 4.5cm on each side for the frame. French Door: Total Width (with frame): 158.5cm / Width without frame: 148cm / Height with frame, without transom: 224.5cm / Height of doors only: 213.5cm
