Large Pendulum
Large clock called "Borne" representing a Mythological Scene in gilded bronze Restoration Period early 19th century. The gilded bronze dial indicating the hours in Roman numerals is circled with foliaged flowers and a large enveloping acanthus leaf on the field ending in two lion's paws. The dial rests on a large rectangular base featuring a Mythological Scene made up of two Great Allegories in finely chiseled gilt bronze in high relief. Original wire movement striking the hours and half-hours operating with its key. Original double patina mercury gilding cleaned by our workshop (wear on the back and sides)
