The corners are adorned with gilt bronze mounts.
The drawers are opened by a central gilt bronze ring in the form of a laurel wreath resting on a plate decorated with a row of pearls.
The whole is attractively contrasted by a palisander inlay on the drawer.
The chest is in perfect condition.
It is topped with its original thick (4 cm) red marble slab with canted and molded corners. There are a few small losses to the marble under the edge, on the left (see photo).
The chest of drawers has been French polished by our cabinetmaker.
