"Elm Burl Box Adorned With A Count's Coronet"
A burr elm box with a brass plaque on its lid, bearing two intertwined initials surmounted by a count's coronet. The edges of the box are protected by a brass band that encircles the entire rectangular prism.
The box closes with a functional two-point lock and retains its original key.
Two brass stays and two hinges ensure a secure closure of the lid.
The interior is beautifully lined with what is likely an 18th-century silk.
