Empire Period Tripod Swan Neck Pedestal Table
Mahogany tripod pedestal table from the Empire Period. Each foot consists of a swan-necked head and ends in a clawed foot.
The supple, undulating shape of the foot alternates between black and gold parts on the sculpted pieces.
The graceful design of the base contrasts with the straight shapes of the Empire style.
The curved triangular base is covered in a light Mahogany veneer.
The whole rests on 3 blackened wooden pancake feet.
The top is made up of a ring of the same Mahogany encasing a Carrara marble top (marble diameter 51 cm), without cracks or restoration. The tray is surrounded by a brass ingot mold.
