A Charles X Period Crystal Box
Beautiful box in blown and cut crystal with its gilded and chiseled bronze frame. The hinged lid is cut with striped checkerboard patterns on the top then widens by a set of degrees to fit into the bronze frame, decorated with a frieze of roses and sun worked with a wheel. The lower part uses the same set of degrees in the opposite direction followed by a decoration of cut diamonds. The whole rests on a base with four shoe feet flanked by leaves. This box has its key. Work from the Charles X period.
