Oval Gold Box In Its Case From The End Of The 18th Century
Oval-shaped snuffbox in chiseled and engraved gold of several tones. The guilloché faces of parallel and circular fillets are engraved with garlands in a raised surround of leaves and flowers on a sandblasted gold background. The lid is decorated in its center with a three-color gold medallion dedicated to the attributes of love in low relief (altar and doves). The side panels are separated by fire pots. In its burgundy leather case gilded with a small iron. Work from the end of the 18th century, Switzerland. Prestige hallmarks: crowned P, initials VPF in heart.
