Hussar Trooper's Sabre, Model Year IV, Revolution - First Empire. 32555-2 Brass hilt. Single-branch guard stamped with a rooster (hallmark for Revolutionary manufactures from 1793 onwards), marked with the cutler's name (difficult to read). Long-tailed pommel, beechwood grip covered in black waxed calfskin. Curved, fullered blade, 81.5 cm long. Beechwood scabbard covered in black varnished leather with two large brass mounts, the inner edges of which are scalloped, with brass suspension loop studs and steel rings. Steel chape. Chape with a throat opening. France. Revolution - First Empire. Very good condition, some wear on the outer side of the scabbard leather.
