Black Chantilly Lace, Also Known As Spanish Blonde - Bobbins - In Several Cuts - Late 19th Century

Chantilly lace with a polylobed border, made with bobbins in black silk thread (late 19th century). Known as "Spanish Blonge" lace, its ground or network is made of finer thread, while its floral decoration is made of thicker, slightly satin-like thread. It comes in three distinct lengths totaling 432 cm.

Condition: The lace has been removed from its original support, so there are a few residual threads to be removed from the top border, which also has a snag. A few loose threads are scattered throughout the network. Overall, it is in good condition, with no weakness under tension or discoloration of the thread.
