An essential piece of 19th-century trousseaus, this white embossed cotton piqué bedspread features a rich floral design with pronounced embossing. The fleur-de-lis initials, embroidered using plumetis, cordonnet, and bourdon stitches, are finely crafted and interspersed with small flowers and leaves in a sprig motif. Two sides are embellished with wide crocheted lace. The fabric retains its shape perfectly and has a lovely density. Antique linens with a very slightly off-white hue, washed and ironed.
