Large pair of printed bourette silk curtains from a castle in Vaucluse and dating from the Second French Empire. Woven silk and cotton twill and printed with wide yellow and black floral stripes in the tradition of French Indians and Persians. Highly polychrome design of Indian flowers on undulating stems. Harlequin wool trimming fringes on two sides. Pair fully lined with ecru cotton sateen (light soiling on the lining). No defects to note, no holes or stains, the colors having retained their original vibrancy. Ready to hang! Very good condition of color and preservation.
